Billy Wheeler Has Joined Department of Philosophy(Zhuhai)

Billy Wheeler is currently Research Fellow in the Department of Philosophy(Zhuhai). Prior to this he was a Research Associate and Teaching Fellow in
the Department of Science and Technology Studies at University College London. Billy gained his PhD in the Philosophy of Science from the
University of Cambridge. His interests are mainly concerned with metaphysics and epistemology, particularly as these pertain to science and
technology. He has published articles on the nature of idealization in physics and the epistemology of human-robot interaction. In 2017-2018 he
will be teaching the undergraduate course ‘Epistemology’. Billy’s ongoing areas of research include the nature of causation, information, virtual
reality and robotics. He is also interested in comparative philosophy, particular between Western analytic philosophy and the Madhyamaka School
of Buddhism.
