Heath Williams 博士正式加入我系

Dr Heath Williams completed his PhD in 2018 at the University of Western Australia. He has taught at numerous universities in Perth. He is currently a Research Associate at Department of Philosophy (Zhuhai), Sun Yat-sen University. His research interests include analytic philosophy of mind, Continental philosophy (specially Husserl and Sartre), and the philosophy of psychology.  His dissertation addressed the intersection between Husserlian phenomenological psychology and cognitive science on the topic of empathy.

He has published in numerous reputable journals including in Mind and Matter on the topic of mirror neurons and simulation theory and the Journal of Consciousness Studies on the topic of Husserlian phenomenological description. He has an article appearing soon in Grazer Philosophische Studien on the topic of Husserl’s account of imaginative empathy and the resonances with high-level simulation theory.

His future projects include an assessment of the naturalisation of phenomenology. Relatedly, he is currently working on the link between theories of explanation and phenomenology and has recently organised to guest edit a special issue of Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences on this topic.

希斯·威廉姆斯博士于2018年在西澳大利亚大学完成博士学位。他在珀斯的许多大学任教。现为中山大学哲学系（珠海）副研究员。他的研究兴趣包括精神分析哲学、欧洲大陆哲学(特别是胡塞尔和萨特)和心理学。他的论文论述了胡塞尔现象学心理学与认知科学在共情问题上的交叉。

他在许多著名的期刊上发表过文章，包括关于镜像神经元和模拟理论的《心智与物质》和关于胡塞尔现象学描述的《意识研究》。不久，他在《Grazer哲学研究》上发表了一篇文章，主题是胡塞尔对想象同理心的描述以及与高层次模拟理论的共鸣。
