Abstract

This lecture suggests that the global and the local do not necessarily contradict each other. There are indeed global pressures pushing for isomorphic structural changes and increasing homogenization among nation-states. These changes due to global pressures, however, go through the local filtering and thus with various form of hybridization. The national identity in particular more complex than the dichotomous scenario, either the global or local. There is ongoing interaction or mediation between global and local factors.

摘要

本讲持“全球”和“地方”并不必然互斥的观点。确实存在来自全球的，同构性结构变化，和持续加增的民族国家同质化趋势的压力，但是，这些变化也因地方性的过滤，呈现各样的混合形式。国家身份也变得更加复杂，远非“全球-地方”式的非此即彼。这是一个全球因素和地方因素不断交互或斡旋的过程。
