我系郭峻赫教授编著劳特里奇系列丛书之《东北亚语境下的现代性》出版

为了更真实地描绘出东北亚视角中的现代性，本书提供了致力于该地区研究的哲学和政治哲学学者的广泛分析。

本书以为，“西方”现代性与“东方”传统之间的相遇，不是一种简单的文化交锋，而是一种生成和混生的互动过程。 本书考察了现代性在各种试图从根本上重组东北亚社会的思想和政治运动中的具体表现。 通过这些情境视角，本书重新思考和重新定义了“现代性”本身的概念，挑战了西方中心思想对“现代性”这个话题的解释，并提出了替代方案。

To form a truer portrait of Northeast Asian perspectives on modernity, this book presents a broad range of analyses from philosophical and political-philosophical scholars specializing in the region.

The book considers the encounter between "Western" modernity and "Eastern" tradition not as a simple clash of cultures, but as a generative and hybridizing process of negotiation. It examines the concrete manifestations of modernity in various intellectual and political movements that attempted to radically restructure Northeast Asian societies. And through these situated perspectives, it rethinks and redefines the idea of "modernity" itself, challenging and presenting alternatives to Western-centric thinking on the topic.

This book will be of particular interest to political philosophers, political theorists, comparative philosophers, regional specialists in East Asia, and all scholars grappling with the perplexities of global "modernity."

郭峻赫，中山大学哲学系（珠海）教授，2002年美国芝加哥大学政治学博士毕业。 曾任职于韩国高丽大学、韩国庆北国立大学、意大利博洛尼亚大学、芝加哥大学。 研究领域是政治哲学、当代政治理论和比较哲学。 特别关注但不限于从古典共和主义资源例如亚里士多德、西塞罗和马基雅维利的政治思想中，构建“相互非支配”的调节性原则以引导处于冲突和紧张关系中的人们之间的审议。 在西方政治哲学史、当代政治理论 (共和主义、民族主义)、比较政治哲学和全球正义等领域著述广泛，近来的发表包括: "Individuality with Relationality" (Philosophy East and West, 2023), “A Confucian Reappraisal of Christian Love” (Religions, 2023), “Confucian Role-Ethics with Non-domination” (Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, 2022), “Deliberation with Persuasion: the ‘Political’ in Aristotle’s Politics” (Australian Journal of Political Science, 2021), “Global Justice without self-Centrism (Dao, 2021), 《西方政治哲学导论》，中国社会科学出版社 (2023), Machiavelli in Northeast Asia (Routledge 2022), Global Justice in East Asia (Routledge 2020), Leo Strauss in Northeast Asia (Routledge, 2020)。 目前担任劳特利奇“东亚语境中的政治理论”系列丛书主编、国际英文期刊《社会和政治哲学》编委。
